Disney Princesses on Ice

Last weekend it was a LOT about “Abby and mommy and daddy” time.  I mean honestly, she’s done sooo fantastically with Josie coming along that I don’t feel in anyway that she feels like she isn’t getting as much attention or anything.  She always speaks sweetly of her and is loving to her.  (In fact, quick side story, this morning I asked her what her favorite thing about her sister was and she said “Giving her kisses.”  She’s precious!)

Abby has been a blessed little girl because she has gone to about 4 or 5 Disney on Ice shows in the past 2 years.  I, for one, love them…so when they come into town I probably want to go as much as she does.  But from the last few she saw, she REALLY REALLY loved the Princess part of the show.  She sings the songs, she knows all the characters names…it just makes me smile so big that she loves them and knows them as well as I do :)  I told Josh I didn’t want to go to another show until they were just the princesses because that’s really all she cares about now.  And what do you know, we got a flyer in the mail that said a show was coming and it was the Princesses only.  Yesss!  It was necessary we go!  We had a great time!

Getting ready to go…we’re all in our Disney attire.  And she’s all about the “thumbs-up!”

The little mice from Cinderella…aren’t they so cute?  Abby loves Gus-Gus.  He’s way in the back…IMG_5714

Then they had all these little sections for each princess set-up…

When we were just walking around before the show started, we ran across all these cool gingerbread houses they made for some of the princesses…

And some of the show itself…

For now…

I have SO much to post from this past weekend (Disney Princesses on Ice, The Children’s Festival, and Ren Fest!), but for now I just want to post some pictures of my sweet girls.  I love them with all my heart.

Sandy has taken more to Abby now…not that she didn’t “like” her, but if Abby wanted to do a lot of petting, Sandy would typically just get up and move.  But lately, Abby is the one feeding her (and by that I mean, she will scoop her food or hold the bowl so I can put it in there), Abby is the one that lets her outside, she chases her around and plays with her—so we’ve seen some of this from Sandy lately…

Look who got to hold the beloved Red Baby!  Abby must really love Josie :)IMG_5961

I love how Josie hangs her leg off the side of the bouncy seat, and I love her little facial expressions…

Josie has some pretty amazing head control for her age, I think.  Someone else at church mentioned to me the same thing…so it kinda spurred me into thinking…I wonder what she would do in the Bumbo? I mean, she’s not even 3 months, so she’s still a little wobbly, but I think she did a great job!  Smiled a lot at first, and then she worked that bottom lip!

And then the bottom lip action was about to start happening… it’s about to start coming down…

IMG_5949

Oh there it is!!!  No tears, no sound…just that lip.  Cracks. Me. Up.!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet and Sassy

We got invited to our friend, Gracie’s, 6th birthday party.  There is this place in the Woodlands called Sweet and Sassy.  The girls get to get all dolled up in princess like dresses, get their nails painted, hair done, glitter sprayed in the hair, glittery stars put on their face, and then dance and walk the run way.  This was a SIX year old party, so Abby was the youngest, but she did so great.  Granted, she looked WAY too old for her momma’s liking!  But it was fun!

She was so nervous in the beginning.  She cried even.  But I convinced her to get into a dress and just do as the other girls were doing.  This smile just shows her uneasiness.  She’s so silly!

Then they were slowly going through all the dance moves they were going to do to this song, and she was going right on with it…

Then came the part where everybody was to jump around, and apparently she didn’t like that because all the sudden we went from doing dance moves to this…

IMG_5660

hahaha, but don’t worry—then it came time to get your wand!  She loved that…what princess doesn’t like her wand??!

That night before bath, I had to brush through her hair really well because it was FILLED with hairspray.  That’s something that’s never been in her hair before.  After brushing all through it before bath, it looked just beautiful!
