A weekend of blessings!

We had a really great and busy weekend! We started off the weekend by going to Caleb's 1st birthday party. We all had a wonderful time, and Abby enjoyed watching everything from her bouncer and playing with all her friends.

We first put her in this outfit to enjoy the party, but her pants were falling off of her! The picture still had to be taken because isn't this outfit precious?!?!So I changed her into something easy to wiggle around in, and she gave me the MOST hilarious look! This picture totally cracks me up!!!
Then the family was ready to go to Caleb's party!
These were all of Abby's friends at the party... (Abby is the youngest, so she can't do all the cool things her friends do......YET!!)

And of course, the birthday boy, Caleb!

Here are some pictures of Caleb opening presents and enjoying himself!

Sunday was a big day for Miss Abby. She got baptized. Josh's parents and my parents were in for the occasion. She did so wonderfully!!! She missed her morning nap, so I was worried she wouldn't be a happy camper during the service. She showed me up, though--she was precious! She was wide awake for her baptism, then she fell asleep in my arms during the sermon. She had her hands folded so perfectly, like she was praying! We had some friends over afterwards for lunch, and Abby, the guest of honor, ended up being put to bed! She was SO tired from her day that she took a THREE hour nap!!!

Wide awake before service started...
Too busy to lay her head down to rest before her baptism...
On the screen...
The hand off to Rev. Mary...
Abby being wiggly in Rev. Mary's arms...
Falling SOUND asleep during the service...(look at her sweet hands!)

Couldn't Resist...

This had to be posted ASAP. The deal is we had a few errands to run today. The onesie I had Abby in was a long sleeve one, but I didn't put shorts on her or anything. In the house her hands and feet get chilly fast, so I had socks on her, too. When we got home, she was still asleep in her carseat, so I just let her sleep until she woke up. She was crying a lot when she woke up, and as soon as I took her out I could see why. She was drenched with sweat! So I stripped her right away to cool her off. She was happy as could be with her clothes off!!

Look at those eyes!
Her face seems to be saying, "What's that you say, mommy?"

Meet Peyton

Peyton is my most hilarious nephew. On August 10th, Peyton turned ONE! Josh, Abby, and I drove in to Bossier City, LA for his birthday party. He will crack you up like no other. I've been meaning to post pictures from this party, but I was waiting on some from my mom. Those pictures have arrived....so take a look at this funny little guy and other random pictures from that particular weekend.

Totally laughing it up! He enjoyed the balloons tied to his high chair.
Talking to his cousin Abby. My brother and I with our kiddos (neither of which want to look at the camera!) Josh chit-chatting with Peyton. Aunt Lisa gets Abby to sleep. Josh's birthday is 2 days before Peyton's. Turning 25 isn't quite as exciting as turning one, but we didn't forget about Josh nonetheless. Here's Josh's cheesy smile after getting one of his gifts!Abby meeting my friend, Michelle and her husband John. Abby decided to stick her tongue out at Michelle. She did smile it up quite a bit for them, though! Abby has now met all of my bridesmaids. Us!This one is just because!
This is a video of Peyton back in May. Some of you have seen it, but I decided it HAD to be posted for those that haven't seen it. This is SO very funny to me. We call this "Peyton's Super Smile." Enjoy! (The sound quality is totally messed up since I uploaded it to One True Media. Sound isn't necessary in understanding the clip. It's just for pure viewing entertainment.)

Everybody Else Is...

So I figured I should, too!!

TAGGED!!
The Rules: 1. I have to post these rules before I give you the facts. 2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves. 3. People who are tagged need to write their own blog (about their eight things) and post these rules. (**if you’re a non-blogger, you can email them!) 4. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names. 5. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them they’re tagged, and to read your blog.

1. When I was learning to ride my bike, without training wheels mind you, my daddy was behind me pushing me, and he gave that one great push. I was looking back at him, smiling crazily because I was doing it on my own. When I turned back around, I ran smack into a bush and fell over into it. My handlebars got stuck in the bush, and I couldn't move until my dad came to rescue me!

2. When I was about 5 or 6, my brother wanted to rent the movie "Howard the Duck." There is this part in the movie where this older man starts turning into this crazy creature with this insane long nasty tongue coming out of him. Before going to bed that night, I started FREAKING out, making throw-up noises and telling my brother and mom that I was "turning in to him." I for sure thought I was...I was crying like a crazy person while my brother totally was laughing and making fun of me. I have never seen "Howard the Duck" again to this day.

3. First know that I am NOT a huge fan of camping. However, I went with my brother, Brad and his wife Lisa. Josh also went on this trip. (We weren't married yet.) As we were walking on a nature trail, I keep swatting at myself because I'm deathly afraid some bug is on me. All the sudden I hear this noise, and I scream "IT'S A SWARM!!!" It totally sounded like one, however I was quickly told by my family that the interstate was just beyond those trees, and THAT was really the noise I was hearing.

4. My dad is a HUGE fan of golfing, and he plays pretty often. One day he came home after playing, and he was explaining his game to my grandpa who was in town visiting. I was around 10 or 11 at the time. He was saying how he "Shot an eagle." Obviously, little 'ol me having NO clue of anything golf related at the time blurts out, "You mean you hit an endangered species?!?!" I have yet to live that one down!

5. I used to be DEATHLY afraid of dogs and people dressed up as Chuck E. Cheese, the Easter Bunny, Mickey Mouse, etc. I would SCREAM at the top of my lungs until they went away. Don't worry, I can handle it now

6. My family took a vacation to Disney World when I was around 7 years old. I was SO tired by the end of this particular day, that everyone got out of the car and started walking into the hotel. My mom turned around said, "Where's Amy?" They walked back to the car and looked to my side of the car where I get out, and I had fallen asleep standing up! Also on this trip, my brother and I had to share the bed, and he rolled on top of me. I had to yell to my mom and dad for help, and I could only flap my arms.

7. I hate being the leader of anything. I'm not one who likes to be in charge or tell other people what they need to be doing. However, I'm wonderful at doing what people ask of me. If someone tells me what needs to be done, I am more than willing and happy to take care of it.

8. Josh and I met on the internet. Back when AOL was huge, we met over instant messages. Tigers013 meets Blondi OO. How cute is that?

I will tag Lisa Lou, Kelsey, Alyson, Neena, Kristi, Sarah, Anne Margaret, and Josh. No pressure guys...it took me awhile before I ever sat down to actually do them because I was tagged probably last year sometime and never did it then :-)

The Age Old Question

Who does Abby look like? The second a baby is born people are immediately trying to figure out who the child looks like. It doesn't matter to me either way, and I always have a really hard time telling. But we got some baby pictures from our parents so we could take a look. I obviously know that Abby very much resembles her daddy. Most people say to Josh, "You definitely couldn't deny that child." or "She really looks a lot like you." (Poor Abby--ha! Totally kidding!!)

I only have one baby picture of Josh, but I REALLY see the resemblance.

Maybe Abby and I have the same smile?!?!

And just for some old school fun--check out this awesome family picture. Are we cute or what?!?! :-)

And last but not least for the old school fun--sibling pictures!

Transformers

Since we saw this movie on Josh's birthday, I found it VERY fitting to take this quiz to find out which Transformer I was. (I stole this quiz off of someone else's blog!)
Josh's
I AM
75%
OPTIMUS PRIME
Optimus Prime's Personality
Optimus Prime is the heroic leader of the Autobots. He is the personification of courage, strength, and integrity. His personal motto is that “Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.”

Like Optimus Prime, you are good by nature. But beware because mischievous thoughts sometimes tempt you. You are inspiring, confident, and a natural leader. The Autobots have chosen well. In addition, you use technology when you need to, but you do not embrace the latest trends.

Amy's
I find it quite fitting that I'm this particular one because I really liked him the most in the movie!!

Bumblebee's Personality:
As an Autobot spy, Bumblebee is the ultimate robot in disguise. What he lacks in size and strength, he makes up for with courage. He enjoys the company of humans and would do anything for his Earthly friends.

Like Bumblebee, you are good by nature. But beware because mischievous thoughts sometimes tempt you. You want to be a leader and show some promise, but you have much to learn. In addition, you use technology when you need to, but you do not embrace the latest trends.

Can you tap dance?

Abby has really been a wiggler lately, and when I lay her on the changing table she gets her legs going SO fast. She hits them down so hard that it makes a different noise than it's ever done before. I tell Abby that she's tap dancing because she even shakes her hips!! This video is a whole 1:40, but you have to make sure you at least make it to around 1:05ish because that's when she's REALLY flailing :-)

Do you think this is where I laid her down to put on her jammies?
Taking a nap--does this look very comfortable to you?!?

Hodge Podge

From Josh....just because! He's so good to me :-)
My necklace--it has an emerald in the middle for Abby's birthstoneJosh's birthday was August 8th, (he entered his mid-mid twenties! You see, 24 is considered "lower mid-twenties" 25 is "mid-mid twenties" and 26 is "upper-mid twenties" Don't ask!) and the most WONDERFUL Pence's watched Abby so we could go to a movie. We saw Transformers. Josh was really surprised that I arranged all this, and this is how I told him.

When he came home from work he saw this on the front door...
On the banister...
On Sandy...
Abby's head strength is getting to be really great. Check her out in her bumbo. I had to go to the Woodlands for a Dermatology appointment, and I stopped by my old place of work--Meador Staffing. Next door to Meador used to be a sushi place, but now it's a dog boutique. I had to stop in for just a minute, and I bought Sandy one little treat. It was peanut butter flavored--yum yum!! Sandy VERY much enjoyed it :-) They packaged it so perfectly, so I had to take pictures of this!
