Testing...

I'm trying this out. Let me know if it's easy to view or if you have to make an account to even view it. My hope was to be able to send this off and turn it into a book type thing. I've been experimenting with Blurb, which is pretty good. But these pages really looked like scrapbook pages...that's why I loved it so much. They reel you in by saying it's free, but to even be able to print it, you have to pay $2.99. That's nothing, but I think you have to print it on your own printer, and that isn't what I want.

That's one way to do it

Abby is no professional crawler, that's for sure, but she's found one way to get the job done!

Coming home from bible study, totally tuckered, sporting the famous "break my neck" look.

Our Friend Olivia

Abby and I haven't had too much going on lately. Just hangin' out. We had the pleasure of watching my friends child, Olivia, while the mommy went to the dentist. Olivia is 3 months old now, and Abby and I had fun. (Actually, Abby napped in the beginning, so Olivia and I hung out by ourselves, but then Olivia decided to nap, too...so it was just little 'ol me hangin' out by myself!)

Even though the mom, Kelly, was gone just a little over an hour, I got some cute pictures of the girls. One thing that is sad, but hilarious is poor Olivia gets spooked easily. And my child tends to high-pitch scream more often than not. Olivia would jump 10ft!

Olivia...

Abby is getting more difficult to take a picture of because she always moves at the last second. So some of the ones I got of the "girls" is really Olivia and the back of Abby's head...

In other news, Abby ALMOST has her first tooth (finally!). I see the tip of it, and I can feel it....when she lets me put my finger in there (which really isn't often.) This is what she looks like most days. Finger in mouth!

Rolling and playing fun...

Instead of "Where's Waldo?"...

Find the "Polka-dotted munchkin!"I just turned on the light in the morning, look at those squinted eyes...I was trying to take pictures of Abby this morning...I'm trying desperately to get her to look at the camera. I say, "Abby, Abby!" and she looks this way--Then I do her favorite clicking noise and other random silly things, and she looks this way--As I'm quickly learning--we're on Abby time! She runs this household :-) She looks at the camera only when she wants to! ha!

And a video because, once again, I love videos (and by the way, Abby LOVES watching everyone else's videos. She sits so still and doesn't make a peep!)

WOOHOO People!

Abby is back to eating her food again. (And I ate meat again for the first time 2 nights ago. I've been on lovely soup, rice, bananas, and toast for awhile...I'm moving up in the world!) She won't eat all of it, but she's at least eating it. I'm so so so (did I say SO?) VERY thankful things are getting back to how they were. I felt completely isolated because I didn't want to get any of our friends sick, and I didn't go places because I didn't want Abby to catch anything else. But now we've ventured places...the wonderful world of Wal-mart, Target, and the Family Christian bookstore (FCB). The FCB is having some fabulous sales going on right now, by the way. If you like to look for next year kinda things, their Christmas cards are great, along with the most wonderful Third Day Christmas Offerings cd. All 50% off (Now some are even 75% off)! I went to that concert (Third Day & Jars of Clay Christmas concert), and it was amazing--and I was SO ready to be finished listening to Christmas music, but I'm still stuck on Third Days. OK, that's my shout out to them :-)

Abby got this one piece outfit for Christmas. Isn't it sweet? (Don't ya love the bunny slippers, too?)
She's looking down at Sandy, and she always puts her head to the side these days. It's so funny!
We were going to go swing at the park, and I got her bundled, then it started raining...of course I took pictures anyway! Instead, we jumped...then she decided she didn't want to--isn't that face pitiful?

This is random, but back when we told the Ege's that we were pregnant, Kim had already bought something for "the baby to be" before ever knowing I was pregnant. She absolutely knows my love for sweet Sandy, and saw this one day in a store, and she just knew when I had a kid, the kid MUST have something with a weenie dog on it.

The front...and back...Abby being a drama queen...
I know it's horrible to compare Abby to.... Gene Simmons from Kiss, but she does her tongue like that ALL the time now. The video will prove my point--hence, why you hear me refer to her as "Gene." Also, we've finally moved on from saying baba all the time...she throws in dada to her babble occasionally. I love it! (The video is pretty pointless...she's not really doing anything special. We had fun, though!)

Are we gonna survive?

OK, yes we most certainly will survive, but it's a LONG process. Remember that Abby got sick from me, and she threw-up twice last week on Tuesday and Thursday. And then nothing for days--she wasn't totally back to normal because she wouldn't eat her Gerber foods, but she would always drink her milk. Then yesterday (Monday), she slept all night long, but she would only drink 3 oz. of milk that morning. I just knew she was going to throw-up again. Sure enough, about 5 sec. after I thought that, there she went. The nurses line had told us if she began throwing-up again to make an appointment. So we saw Dr. Smith yesterday, and he told us she has the Rotavirus. The bad thing with Rotavirus, he said, is generally when a person gets sick they build up antibodies against it to prevent them from getting it again. With Rotavirus, the second you get better the antibodies go out the window, and you can get it all over again. So Abby is dealing with round 2 of this virus. And I must say, it made me feel quite nauseous last night, so I PRAY it stays away from me! I'll die if I get round 2!

Amongst all this sickness, Abby is still smiling for us. When my mom was here she got lots of great pictures, but I don't have them, so here are just a few pictures I got a few nights ago.

Abby still loves her Excersaucer!

Sandy loves to sleep on her back, and she was snuggling with us on the couch. I caught her little back feet poking out...
My bruise from the IV last Monday...apparently I heal really slowly because that was over a week ago now! And here's a video because I like to do videos :-)

Sick

I'm sick. And it's yuck. Sunday evening I got really sick...the whole thing (if ya know what I mean). I couldn't keep anything down either way. After 12 hours of hideousness, I was SO dehydrated...my body was not right. Apparently when your electrolytes get so low, you begin to tingle all over. It was awful. Tingling down my face, in my arms, in my knees, everywhere. We went to the ER ....where I had to get 2 bags worth of IV fluids through me. Well, I got just a little of the 2nd bag, but where they put in the IV was starting to hurt, and I told the nurse. She said it was infultrated, and the liquid was leaking out and ballooning up my arm. (That's because the guy had a really hard time putting in the IV to begin with because my vains were flat from being dehydrated.) I opted to take the IV out and just go home and drink a lot of fluids. I'm still having some issues, but I can at least walk to the bathroom by myself now. I'm regaining some strength, and I've at least had chicken broth. (Nothing has ever tasted so warm and good.) I'm sick of laying on the couch, which is why I'm blogging now :-)

A HUGE thank you to Jessica & Joanna for loving on Abby for the day. I called Jessica at 6:45am to see if she could watch Abby while we went to the hospital. What a wonderful friend to even take a call that early in the morning! Thanks a million!

I'm so very sad because I have not held or kissed on my baby girl since Sunday night. My parents came to help with Abby so Josh could go back to work. Nobody wants to kiss and love on me either because nobody wants to get what I have. (Well my mom loves on me, but moms are amazing like that) Sad day. On top of that, Abby just started throwing up today. She's thrown up twice. Please pray for my little family. I just can't stand it knowing Abby got sick because of me.

Brown & Pink

I love this combination of colors, and Abby had on an adorable outfit for church this morning that sported those two colors. Like I ALWAYS do, I took about a billion pictures in the same place I always do (the rocking chair in her room), and as usual, she gave me tons of different expressions that I love!

This is a noise she loves to make with her lips..it pretty much sounds like "pppfffff."

This is a face she's been giving us a lot lately...the "O" look.
My video program is finally working, so I got one put together. I think you'll be able to tell that she completely entertains us! :-)
