This year the theme was Minnie Mouse…she was Minnie Mouse for Halloween, and she kept talking about having a Minnie Mouse birthday party. Now, if I had waited until a few weeks before her party, it possibly could’ve changed because she became addicted to Strawberry Shortcake or even Repunzal. She never asked to have her birthday as one of those, but you know how kids are—their love for things vary from day to day sometimes :)
The major thing Abby wanted for her birthday was to have it at the “jumping place.” That’s what she calls it. It’s called Jumpalooza, and it’s one of those places with all the bounce houses. I actually like having parties at our house because it let’s me decorate, but she really wanted it there, and honestly, it was so nice not to have everything in tip top shape, and to come home and we were done!
The invite:
We set-up some of the decorations in my kitchen just so I could have some memories of them…
I used this same cake lady 2 years ago for Abby’s “weenie dog themed” party. She does great work, and the cake tastes fab!! Check out her blog: www.hydescreations.blogspot.com. She’s so sweet and wonderful to work with. The cake topper came from Maddy Lou's on etsy. I was so happy with how it turned out!! Abby’s cute Minnie Mouse/zebra outfit came from One, Two, Three Shop on etsy. (I’m slightly addicted to etsy. You can find anything and everything on etsy. Seriously!)
I was proud of how I put my little goodie bag boxes together. Aren’t they cute?
Before leaving for the party…
Her cousin, Faith, came to visit and enjoy the party, too!
Josie’s face is crackin’ me up in the next one…
And let the jumping fun begin!!
Abby and her friend Cassidy
Abby was having a blast…I feel like I barely saw her! She was running around like crazy! Action shot—the hair is flying!
Her 2 favorite boys at school (she picked twins, I mean really? haha)
My girl likes to sit close, I know. Always gotta have her arm around people. Hilarious!
Jo Mama and I enjoying the party!
About ready to sing Happy Birthday. We turned the lights off to make the candles glow, so those pictures are kinda dark.
Getting ready to leave…daddy had her pose holding 4 fingers up! Doesn’t she look so sassy? haha
Almost nap time (oh yes, she napped on party day!) Snagged a sweet pic with Daddy!
That night we headed to Tin Roof. It’s become our tradition. We’ve gone every year for dinner after Abby’s parties, and every year we have whoever is playing that night sing Happy Birthday to her. It’s wonderful!
Playing at their playground
Dancing…
And a big thanks to our families for coming and helping to celebrate our sweet 4 year old girl! We love ya’ll!!!
Whew, 43 pictures later…thanks for stickin’ around if you read the whole thing :)
