Got Milk?

Abby LOVES her milk. She drinks it like she's never going to get another cup of milk ever again. When I can tell she's getting close to the bottom, and she seems to be playing with the sippy cup more than she's actually drinking it I say, "Are you all done?" She immediately holds her cup like this (and says no, no, no!)--

And just being silly...
For my own sake, since I have yet to document any of this stuff....here a few things Abby says and does:

-signs more (this just started, and she's not always signing it when she actually means more, she just likes doing it over and over!)

She's become more of a picky eater. It drives me nuts, but what am I to do besides continually keep introducing it to her? Fruit of all things you would think would be fabulous--nope. She's now decided she doesn't want it. Our main diet consists of banana (the ONLY fruit she will eat right now), wheat crackers, cheerios, ravioli, macaroni, cheese, chicken, oatmeal, bread (only sometimes), and yogurt.

She makes us laugh, um, pretty much ALL the time. I love her little quirks and mannerisms. She's got such a personality going on. I still can't believe I have a child, but I'm so completely thankful God gave us her!

15 months 2 weeks and 2 days

And I finally got around to her 15mo. appointment. We went this morning, and the poor thing had to have 3 terrible shots. Ick! The first one she didn't cry a bit, and then the nurse said the next two sting, and she W-A-I-L-E-D!!! She's a quick calmer downer, though, so that's a plus :-)

She's 30inches(35%), 21lbs 15oz(25%), 18 1/4 head circumference(75%). It seems as though she's a bit oddly proportioned (ha!), but the Dr. said she looked great, and that's all I care about! Obviously our huge question at this moment in time was, "Will this child ever walk?" At one point in time I would say I was concerned at her delay, but now I just know she's taking her sweet time. The Dr. walked with her, and she looks absolutely normal...she's just not brave enough to do any of it on her own yet. My theory is also the fact that she chose to army crawl for so long, and when she decided to crawl up on her hands and knees, she was ONE. Now she's been enjoying the more fast paced crawling that all the other kids were enjoying when she was just army crawlin' along. All that said, I am FULLY aware at how different kids are and even though mine is taken FOR-EV-ER she's as completely normal as the rest of the people in her family :-) (I'm not exactly sure what that says for her--her mommy and daddy are pretty crazy!)

On to more important things...SHOES :-)

Abby has some small little feet. We just moved out of her 2's into 3's. I was still wanting some sandals because living in the south, we will still be wearing them until the end of October I'm sure! We went to Payless yesterday and got her 2 pairs of 3's. The total all together cost me a little over $15. That's awesome!!!

I'm so excited about this first pair. For all of those that truly know me, you will know that I adore these sweet little shoes! Even the box is great!

The second pair I like OK...I'm not a huge fan of hearts, but I knew they would match with most everything so I was being practical. Look how her little toes barely peep over.
I know this isn't the most beautiful shot of Sandy, but the dog cracks me up. I was looking for her around the house, and she was in our study in the papasan chair (y'know, the big round chairs?) on her back with covers over the front part of her body. Hysterical, really.

This video is a few funny things of Abby. The last clip you would literally think the child just climbed Mt. Everest the way I went crazy...but come on, we're so excited for her to start walking, so this is a move in the right direction :-)

Toilet paper ridin'

Side note: The story of my life right now is blurry pictures. Basically, I either need a better camera with a faster shutter or my child needs to sit still. (ha!) Neither will be happening any time soon, so I apologize for some of the blurry you will be viewing.

She's remembering her Bumbo days and enjoys climbing in and out of it...This particular toy she should be standing in front of, but she likes climbing back behind it...When I let Sandy outside to go potty, she likes to watch--then when Sandy comes back to the door she crawls away squealing!

1 Year Pictures--Finally!

I'm WAY overdue posting these pictures of Abby. Our scanner hasn't been working, and that's what I was needing. Josh showed me another route to take with the scanner (that smart computer guy!), and now here they are for you to view!

The setting was gorgeous, the photographer was wonderful, the child to be photographed...she didn't want to participate so much. Go figure! So, this is what we got. I think it's funny because these pictures captured every angle of her personality. When she wanted to smile, when she was unsure, when she wanted to laugh, when she was observing...everything.

New Profession

Josh is a computer guy by day and a rock guitarist by night! For Josh's birthday, he got Guitar Hero, to which we've all become addicted. If you don't know much about Guitar Hero, basically you are playing a guitar and following the colored notes on the screen. By notes, I don't mean you have to actually know how to read music (I for sure do NOT know how), you just have to press the colored button it is showing you on the screen. Sounds easy enough, but the colored notes come FAST depending on what level you're playing it on. For now, I stick to the Easy level, and I have attempted Medium a few times (scoring in the 90% range!).

One cool thing is Josh got Guitar Hero Aerosmith. Not every single song is Aerosmith, but the majority are, and I love jamming to songs I already know :-)

Josh has perfected a few songs, and I had already gone to bed, so he had to take a picture of the screen so I could see he scored 100% on TWO songs. Woohoo!
Both of these songs were completed on the Medium level.

Because we are all SO amazing, we each have our own guitarist names, (I'm Blondie--so original, I know, and Josh is JBeaz) and then Josh and I can play together (because we have 2 guitars...I play bass, and he plays lead), so together our band name is BluDawg. Abby also had to get in on the action with her daddy last night. She now has her own name, too which is Ladybug :-)

Lately, Abby has enjoyed playing inside the lid of a box. I have no idea why, but she will crawl out of it, and then back in it. Back in, grab all her toys, then crawl out. Over and over. It makes me laugh!

This morning when Abby was playing, I needed to go turn off the water outside. When I came back to the front door, this is what I saw...

Then she wanted to wash the windows from the inside :-)
