Are we having too much fun?

We got a new camera, and what else were we supposed to do with it besides play around? We ended up getting a Canon Power Shot SD880 IS. Basically, I wanted a small camera that had videoing capability, AND had image stabilization (IS). That was probably the most important thing to me because most of my pictures these days were fuzzy (Can you believe I can't get my 19 month old to sit still for a picture?!?! Who would ever guess that? ha!). The big, fancy cameras are great, but realistically for me, I knew I wouldn't lug it around with me. I wanted something to slide into my purse or pocket, y'know? This one is perfect for just that!

So last nite this is what we did...

Look at Abby's face now. She thinks we're crazy (and she might be right!) And you're probably thinking, "Why is Amy's mouth always open that wide?" I really have no idea.

Now to today. Lately, if you know my child at all and are around her for any extended period of time, you will see her like this often.

I ask myself why. I have no clue why my child has to pull her shirt up ALL. THE. TIME. but I decided I might as well take a picture of it to remind us of this special time :-)

Queso

We ate at Chuy's today. We decided to have lunch there, and surprisingly there was NO wait! We looked at our menus, and decided what we were going to have. The waiter gives Josh a suggestion for this specific burrito and says he can have any kind of sauce he'd like on it.

Waiter: You can put sourcream on top or queso.
Josh: Do you have cheese queso?
Waiter (and me): {weird look}
Me: Um babe, queso IS cheese.
Josh: oh yeah, I don't know what I was thinking.
Me: {thinking...riiiiiight!} Once waiter leaves--laughing, laughing, laughing!

Ok, sorry. So I'm easily entertained!

Abby had her Christmas program on Thursday. They rode in on the bye-bye buggies (basically a really huge stroller that seats six. 2 in front, middle, and back.) I had some food items to drop off before the program for her party in the classroom, and I specifically went a certain way so she would NOT see me. She would be excited to see me, but it would quickly wear off if she knew I wasn't actually getting her out. I turn this corner, and boom! There she is, in the front of the buggy. They were killin' time just strollin' them around. I don't think I've ever turned back around so quickly. All was good, and she rang her bell quite proudly during the program (which really is about 3 songs worth). It was cute, though. The party went much better this time as opposed to her Thanksgiving party. They ate some Chick-fil-a nuggets and decorated their own Christmas cookie. Fun was had by all. She kinda looked like a candy cane with her cute pants on.

I'm delayed at posting these, but here are some snow pictures from the morning after our snow. It's still so hard to believe we had snow at all considering it's been almost 80 degrees these past few days!

Catch up Time

What's happened to me? My blogging has fallen to the wayside as of late. I feel this post is going to be a lot of pictures with very little "talking." Are you ready for that?

These pictures are from Thanksgiving at my parents house--Abby found her new fascination with a small sized purse. Everytime you put the purse over her shoulder, she headed for the back door saying, "Bye!" How sweet is that?

From Itsy-Bitsy Spider...I sing "Out came the sun and dried up all the rain." We put our hands in a cirlce above our head for the sun (and I rock her back and forth) and she thinks it's hilarious!Can you see what's in Josh's hand? Cousins. Ohmigoodness, can I just explain to you how hilarious this night was? Peyton and Abby kept eachother so entertained (and all of us!) They were giggling and giggling.
And hugging...And whispering in eachother's ear...Then Peyton just walked up to Abby and put his arm around her. These are the pictures that followed in perfect order. A lot of them are the same, but their facial expressions are priceless. They stood like this for a good minute, while we were all dying laughing. Love it!



Dad always sets the timer on the camera for a picture of the whole family before we dig into the Thanksgiving food. It only took ONE attempt (and everyone is actually looking!) Can you believe it?

Thanksgiving Part 1

We had a great Thanksgiving with family. These pictures are only from our camera. I haven't gone through all the pictures from my parents camera (that will take me awhile!).

Abby is at the age where she is having so much more fun interacting with her cousins. On Josh's side, her cousin Faith is 3, and Faith is the sweetest most adorable child. She just talks and talks and plays and plays with Abby. They were so cute to watch. Nana Beasley bought the girls cute dresses to put on for pictures. Getting both girls looking was a bit of a challenge, and Faith is MUCH better at smiling when asked!

Nana Beasley bought Faith this adorable little sleeping bag/cot thing to sleep in when she's at Nana's house. Abby wanted to snuggle in it with Faith...

For whatever reason, she likes to put the wrong side of her paci in her mouth!

And lastly, a sweet Mommy and Abby picture. I was trying to get her to look with me, and she just laid her head right down and snuggled me. So sweet!
