People Watcher

That sounds better than me saying, Abby stares at everybody :) haha. But she does...she will just stand there, and s.t.a.r.e! We have to say "Abby [snap fingers] Hey! Abby [whistle] Hello??!!" Don't get me wrong, I'm a people watcher myself, and it IS quite entertaining.

We went to Tin Roof last weekend. It has a little play area, and she loves to go to it, but we must stare at all the kids around us for a little bit. And I don't mean like off to the side where we aren't in everyone else's way. Typically right in the center is where she chooses :)

This little boy was just putting the mulch stuff on the counter, and Abby liked to stare at him, too! I liked her hands in this picture--she's like "Uh, what are you doing? Don't you know your hands get dirty when you pick that stuff up?"
Then she was on this contraption with all the other big kids!
On Monday, Abby and I got to go meet our friends' new baby, Jenna. Jenna is so sweet, small, beautiful, and perfect! When we were getting ready to go, Kristi - Jenna's momma, asked Abby if she would like to hold Jenna. Abby just said uh-huh, and climbed right up on the couch and held her. I loved seeing that! So cute! Thanks Kristi...we loved hanging out :)

At first Abby's expression is like, "hmmm, what's going on with this?"

But then she was all smiles!

I just liked her feet in the chair. I love it when she sits on them, and they're crossed like that. (I'm weird, we know this!) And notice little Sandy's nose in the bottom right corner. Wherever there is food, Sandy will surely be!

So Studious

She's saying ostrich here. The way she does her mouth always cracks me up! This is the very first time she's done this...luckily she wasn't wise enough to take her shorts off first because there was actual poop in this diaper!

Her and I went on a date to McDonald's the other day. This is what I mostly saw of her...
...the back of her head! She was far too interested in everyone around us. But she was excited about her penguin she got, so she had to point at it for me :)

Our conversation at McDonald's--

Abby: Chicken needs to cool off.

Me: Yes, it does.

Abby: (Looking out window) Nana's car? (She sees red Expedition)

Me: Well, it does look like Nana's, but no baby, it's not Nana's

Abby: (start the routine) Nana bye-bye? Pop bye-bye? Brad bye-bye? Lisa bye-bye? Peyton bye-bye? Mark bye-bye? Joanna bye-bye? Daddy bye-bye? (the list goes on and on)

Me: But who will you see tonight?

Abby: Pop hummin? (that's what coming sounds like)

Me: Yes! Pop is coming!

Having conversations with Abby is so much fun! We can actually "chat" during lunch. It's sweet :)

Singing in the Mirror

It's already started. You know you've all done it before :) Abby is becoming a pro at it. Every night after we brush her teeth, she likes to turn around and talk to herself in the mirror. But now, she's started singing her 3 favorite songs in the mirror.

Fav songs (as of the moment), and in this order--always:

1. Baby shark - I just looked up the words to this, and there seem to be about a million different versions. Does anybody know this song I'm talking about? We did it at VBS. It's a regular in our house right now.

2. Jesus Loves Me

3. Itsy Bitsy Spider

So last night, she turned around in the mirror and started doing these songs. It was so so cute! She was cracking up at herself.

First, she saw me take out my phone to get a picture, and she did this!
Ya'll, I just can't get enough of her hair. Utterly in LOVE with it. I haven't cut it once yet. I'm too afraid those sweet curls will leave!!! Her hair could not be any more of the complete opposite of mine. So full of body--seriously, I'm completely jealous :)
Then the singing started...You would think this is Itsy Bitsy Spider, but it's actually Jesus Loves Me. I can tell by her mouth. She's saying Jesus right there :)

True Story

Story #1
On Thursday was Abby's last day of MDO for the summer. Sad because she has completely warmed up to the place now. We used to pull in the parking lot and she would already be saying, "No, no, no!" and now, if we just pass by she exclaims, "My school, my school!" She loves it! Anyway, so we were driving home and I was sitting at a light. To my left, I see this truck kinda easing its way up beside me, and when I look over the guy is all smiling at me. I'm kinda thinking, this guy is seriously checking me out. This is awkward. Then he starts waving, and I'm like ohmygoodness, really? So I just turn around and look at Abby......and SHE'S the one smiling and waving and playing peek-a-boo with the guy! Of course, what was I thinking? My girl is the cute one in the car!!! :)

Story #2
Abby was in time out for (well I don't really remember) but if I had to guess, yelling No at me or something. I had crouched down to talk to her, and to explain why she was in time out and make sure she understood (because they always understand and never do it again, right? ha!), and I was saying I love you, but (does that sound familiar, Kim?) but Abby interrupted me mid sentence, and put her arms out wide and said, "Mommy, big hug?" Big hugs always cure the situation!

This past weekend we were in Bossier for my nephew's 3rd birthday party. Peyton's official birthday is today (Happy Birthday little man!), but besides just Peyton's birthday, it was also Josh's birthday on Saturday. That's right--Josh is the big 27 now. So old. We celebrated by going to Chuck E. Cheese, of course :)

This is the first time I've been with Abby, but Josh and his mom have taken her before. Of course, she loves the slide.

They had this huge rocking horse. I rode it with Abby, but honestly she wasn't really that fond of it. I look like I'm having a blast, though :)

When I was little, I was NOT a fan of Chuck E. Cheese. The place? Sure. The man dressed up in character. Heck no! There was a birthday party going on this day, so of course, Chuck E. came out, and then walked around the whole place. We were steering clear of him on purpose, but then he kinda cornered me (not on purpose), but there was no place for me to go without having to walk past him. Abby practically jumped in my arms, and I think good 'ol Chuck E. took the hint, and left. Abby kept a close eye on on his whereabouts though. She was about to go down the slide, but she had to look around me to see where exactly he was.

Josh and I played air hockey, and I slaughtered him. Just in case you can't read that...the score is 6-0!

Then it was time for Abby to go home and take a nap, and I got to go visit my friend Michelle, who had baby Miller about a month ago. Right when we got there they had been doing tummy time with him, but he fell asleep. Isn't he sweet?

Then she let me hold him the rest of the time I was there. Here he is in my lap...

And ohmigoodness, look at this tiny, precious foot. I love, love, love baby feet!
