The weekend

It was a lovely weekend. The weather was so perfect outside, so it felt only right to take Abby to the park. She played hard and had little red cheeks. So cute.
I love that she fits so perfectly here. She can stand completely up, whereas, we would totally have to be on our knees ducking. She is telling me to "come" in this picture...that's what that hand gesture means :)

We went to church Sunday morning. It was nice to catch back up with some of our friends that we hadn't seen since we were out of town for the holidays. It was still warm outside, so Abby got to wear a short sleeve dress. Here she is, actually posing with us saying "cheese." What a goober, huh?

But this is what she looked like before her hair was brushed--daddy decided to take pictures of the "getting ready" process. When she got her bath last night, and we brushed her hair, I couldn't help but take a picture. Her hair is fabulous...I wonder if she's going to like it when she gets older?!?! Probably not. It seems everyone that has curly hair wants it straight, but oh what I wouldn't give for it!

It's just so crazy because when I imagined my baby, NONE of the images in my head ever had them with curly hair. This is such a treat :)

Lately, Abby has really liked to sit by Sandy while Sandy eats breakfast. If anyone actually knows Sandy, they would realize that eating breakfast only takes about 23 seconds. Sandy scarfs food like it's nobody's business. This morning Abby was so cute crouched down right beside Sandy while Sandy ate, but my camera was in the other room. I took off running (remember, I only have 23 seconds!), but of course, Abby followed me. I told her to hurry! come back in here and get down by Sandy again. She did this instead...

Silly girl...I said get down by Sandy not get down (on all fours) like Sandy!

But she did humor me and go sit by her, but usually she's squatting and almost putting her head right beside Sandy telling her, Hi!I want to thank all of you for being so sweet about Sandy and checking up on her. I really appreciate it so much! Here is a picture of her 9 little stitches.
As of now, we still don't have the results back to see how far along her cancer actually is...so we're still waiting..........[semi] patiently!! :)

what a silly little girl you have... get down on all fours like the puppy dog. ;-) BTW... I sure hope that my child has curly hair.... I will be semi disappointed if they don't. My dream would be Zach's hair color with colors, we shall see... and by they way... there is no child to speak of. ;-)

I love Abby's little curls, too. And mostly through my life I've liked mine too, although the Houston humidity is brutal. Maybe you'll discover a cure for that. :)

I was just going to e-mail you to ask if you had heard anything about Sandy because you said it should be a week. Darn. Abby's curls are absolutely adorable. I'm so jealous!
